Gabrielle was born as Louisa Gabriella Bobb on 19 July 1969, in Hackney, London. She is a British singer and songwriter whose powerful voice and distinctive sound have made her a beloved musical figure. Gabrielle became the face of the EMMA ad campaign in 2000 and didn’t take any payment, she supported EMMA’s cause and campaign to promote social cohesion within society. She also appreciated the need for this in the ever powerful creative industries. 

Raised in a working-class household, Gabrielle was introduced to music by her mother, who deeply loved soul, reggae, and Motown. Gabrielle’s early interest in music led her to pursue singing and songwriting, and she was influenced by artists like Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, and Stevie Wonder. 

Gabrielle began performing in local clubs and bars, eventually leading to a record deal with Go! Discs in 1991. Her breakthrough came in 1993 with the release of her debut single “Dreams,” which became an instant hit, topping the UK Singles Chart and earning her widespread recognition. The song’s success catapulted her to stardom, and her debut album, Find Your Way, followed in 1993, showcasing her unique blend of soulful ballads and upbeat R&B tracks.

Gabreielle’s musical career continued to flourish throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. In 1996, she released Gabrielle, which featured the hit single “Give Me a Little More Time,” further cementing her place in the British music scene. Her third album, Rise, released in 1999, was another commercial success, earning her two BRIT Awards.

In 2000, Gabrielle achieved her second UK number-one single with “Rise,” a song that became an anthem of hope and resilience. Her most well-known single, “Out of Reach,” featured prominently in the film Bridget Jones’s Diary, expanding her reach internationally. Over the years, Gabrielle became known for her emotional depth, poignant lyrics, and powerful vocal delivery, which resonated deeply with listeners.

Throughout the 2000s, Gabrielle continued to release successful albums, including 2004’s Play to Win and 2007’s Always. 

Gabrielle stepped back from the music industry to focus on raising her two children and returned to the music scene in 2018 with the release of Under My Skin, her first album in over a decade. The album was well-received and marked a new chapter in her career, with a more mature sound and themes of personal growth and introspection. 

Gabrielle’s return to the limelight continued with her appearance on the UK television show The Masked Singer in 2021, where she performed as the “Harlequin” character. Her participation in the show introduced her to a new generation of fans and demonstrated her continued popularity in British culture.

Gabrielle’s music is characterised by its blend of soul, pop, and R&B influences. It often tackles themes of love, loss, and personal empowerment. Her vocal ability, which combines warmth with vulnerability, has earned her comparisons to legendary singers such as Whitney Houston and Sade. 

Over the years, Gabrielle has maintained a dedicated fanbase and continues to be regarded as one of her generation’s most influential British soul artists. 

In 2024, Gabrielle released A Place in Your Heart, her eighth studio album. This album reflects her evolution as an artist while staying true to the soulful, heartfelt sound that fans have come to love.

Gabrielle’s journey from a young girl in Hackney with a passion for music to an internationally recognised artist is a testament to her talent, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her craft. 

Beyond her music career, Gabrielle has also become a role model for women in the entertainment industry. She is known for her ability to balance her career with her personal life, including raising her children.

EMMA has been the first ever- Creative Industries TV show, worldwide, which has ensured its growth within the UK by £125 billion and $4.3 trillion globally; the EMMAs were broadcast on ITV & BBC.

Campaigns

EMMA has been in the forefront of many ground-breaking campaigns since 1997, by changing Britain’s global image, as the catalyst for the London 2012 Olympic Games and undertook a Social Cohesion conference in 2011. Throughout our Ad campaigns our message is for racial emancipation, where you are only judged by your character and not race or colour. Instigated the Equal Game conference at Wembley Stadium.

The Time4Peace Charity Music show is an apolitical and areligious event, whereby, every person can promote the collective need for Peace in whatever conflict affects them and will be a ticketed event. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the charities of the ticket buyer’s choice as selected. Global Issues

Humanity is facing a major crossroad with further alienation taking place amongst communities on a national and worldwide level leading to direct and indirect conflict that could eclipse the devastation imposed during WW2. EMMA has been working in the background since our conception to promote Social Cohesion with Ad campaigns to tackle Modern Day Slavery, Mental Health Issues and loss of life from Knife Crime

The FC Match is a Football Supporters competition that celebrates the Multicultural aspect of each Football Club that symbolises the most celebrated sport on the planet from domestic Football to the FIFA World Cup. The winning supporters will receive an EMMA Multicultural trophy that has been won by Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Thierry Henry, David Beckham, Ian Wright, Prince Naseem and Venus Williams, etc.
