EMMA 100 Year First World War Commemoration Campaign
The year 2014 marked 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War, a conflict that claimed the lives of over 17 million people and wounded more than 20 million globally. This was an occasion to remind the UK and worldwide towards our proper Multicultural values, as growing racism through increased tribalism will lead to future wars that will lead to more death and destruction.
EMMA has always stood for social cohesion that can only be formed through genuine social inclusion leading to proper Multicultural values, not the Ghettoised version promoted by Far-Right politicians.
EMMA had conducted a direct marketing campaign to promote Social Cohesion during this period with this online campaign and as a reminder to its many political contacts throughout the UK and beyond within those establishments that anything less can only lead to further global conflicts. We had highlighted the various conflicts subsequently since the First World War as highlighted below.
The Nations involved in the First World War—especially those in Europe and the Commonwealth, had included 1.5 million volunteers from British India that is today known as Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nepal who saved the Allies from certain defeat in the Western Front against Germany until the US had entered into this War —this commemoration was used to honour the fallen, educate future generations, and reflect on the war’s legacy.
EMMA’s campaign had served not just as a memorial but also as a cultural and political moment of remembrance. The failed lessons of yesterday will only lead us to a Third World War tomorrow.
